Jeff Li

Senior Associate

Jeff is a Senior Associate in KRB’s Business Law group. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, complex corporate reorganizations, and a broad range of commercial transactions.

He advises clients on corporate and commercial matters, involving the purchase or sale of businesses, the reorganization and structuring of corporate entities’ activities, and the drafting and negotiation of acquisition and commercial agreements.

Jeff earned his law degree from McGill University and was called to the Bars of Quebec and Ontario in 2020. He also holds a Master of Laws with a specialization in taxation from Université de Montréal, in conjunction with HEC Montréal. During his studies, Jeff collaborated with esteemed professors at McGill University’s Centre for Intellectual Property Policy. Outside of his legal practice, he serves as a Health Services Management Officer with the Canadian Armed Forces.

Acted on behalf of The Aldo Group in its spin-off of the Globo chain.
Acted on behalf of an operator engaged in the business of wholesale distributor of tools and equipment in connection with the purchase of its partner.
Acted on behalf of a group of companies engaged in the business of commercial and industrial water treatment, and research, development and manufacturing of specialty chemical products for industrial, commercial, institutional and municipal applications, in connection with the sale of all of said corporations to a U.S.-based strategic buyer.

Acted on behalf of a media company in the acquisition of another company through an auction process.
Acted on behalf of a logistics company in the acquisition of multiple businesses.
Acted on behalf of a retail company in acquiring a similar business through insolvency proceedings.

Acted in the portfolio transfer of more than 45 real estate properties throughout Canada.

Acted on behalf of an office supplies company in respect of its acquisition of a competitor.
