Guylaine is a Partner in KRB’s Real Estate group whose practice focuses on real estate development, banking and finance, M&A and corporate/commercial matters. Prior to joining the team, she was a Partner at a Montreal law firm specializing in advising businesses in respect of a wide range of commercial, transactional and real estate matters. Guylaine regularly assists clients with real estate acquisitions, partnership structures, acquisition and construction financings, and other commercial agreements and transactions. Her clients appreciate her for being practical, efficient and thorough.

Guylaine is also actively involved in her community as a volunteer for the Women’s Y Foundation, which helps women in need, and JA Quebec, which promotes financial literacy among the youth.

Representative Work

Acted on behalf of a full-service distribution company, offering turn-key solutions which enabling sports and lifestyle brands in Canada to grow their businesses, in respect of the amendment of a syndicated loan for the purposes of financing said client’s current operations and funding the expansion of its operations in the U.S.

Acted on behalf of a notable Montreal real estate developer in connection with the development and financing of the second phase of its award-winning multi-residential project consisting of 2 towers and comprised of 489 rental units

Acted on behalf of a reputable real estate developer in respect of the construction financing for the development and construction of a 393-unit, purpose-built apartment building, including nearly 7,000 sq. ft. of non-residential space

Acted on behalf a Montreal-based real estate owner and developer in respect of a construction financing for development and construction of a 7-storey, 162- unit rental project

Acted on behalf of a leading developer/property manager in connection with a construction financing for the development and construction of a purpose-built project with over 197,000 sq. ft. of leasable ground-floor space in addition to nearly 8,000 sq. ft. of leasable commercial space, comprising approximately 227 rental units and 14 townhomes

Acted on behalf of a Schedule I Canadian chartered bank in connection with the granting of facilities in connection with a construction financing for the development and construction of two residential buildings, comprised of 7 and 8-storeys respectively and totaling 162 condominium units as part of a 6-phase project

Acted on behalf of a leading transport and logistics company in respect of obtaining credit facilities to assist in the acquisition of various properties and assets

Acted on behalf of a notable residential, commercial and industrial real estate developer in respect of the construction financing of a 64-story mixed-use development totaling over 600,000 buildable sq. ft. located in Montreal’s Downtown core

Acted on behalf of the wholly-owned subsidiary of an eminent Montreal real estate developer in respect of the acquisition of a Gatineau shopping centre and excess land representing over 161,000 leasable sq. ft.
