Guylaine DeBlois is a partner at KRB whose practice focuses on real estate development, secured lending, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial and corporate matters. Prior to joining KRB, she was a partner in a Montreal law firm specializing in advising businesses in respect of a wide range of commercial, transactional and real estate matters.
She regularly assists clients with real estate acquisitions, partnership structures, acquisition and construction financings and other commercial agreements and transactions. Her clients appreciate her for being practical, efficient, and thorough.
Guylaine is also involved in her community as a volunteer for the Fondation du Y des Femmes which helps women in need and JA Québec which promotes financial literacy among the youth.
Participated in the sale of all of the Rona franchises in favour of Rona for $215M.
Participated in the implementation of mezzanine financings representing an aggregate amount of $70M and construction financings representing aggregate amount of $255M for the construction and development of a portfolio of senior housing residential facilities.
Assisted a Montreal-based real estate developer with the structuring and implementation of relevant partnerships as well as its acquisition and construction financing for its residential condominium projects.
Advised Eocycle Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of certified wind turbines, in connection with a financing in the amount of $9.7M by Investissement Québec and other investors.
Drafted standard leases for commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings owned by a Montreal-based real estate developer.
Acted for vendors in connection with the sale of Carnot Réfrigération Inc. to M&M Refrigeration LLC.
