Marc-Antoine L. Fortin

Marc-Antoine is a Partner in KRB’s Banking and Finance group whose practice includes banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, commercial real estate and various commercial transactions and agreements. He represents and advises corporations and financial institutions in a broad range of commercial, transactional and financing matters.

Marc-Antoine completed his law degree and an M.B.A. at Laval University, where he also was a captain for the Rouge et Or football team prior to joining the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Canadian Football League.

Representative Work

Acted of behalf of the shareholders of the clinics operating under the Axo Physio banner in their sale of all shares to Groupe Santé Universelle Inc., a subsidiary of Lifemark Health Corp.

Acted in connection with the financing of the acquisition of majority interest of an entity operating in the telecommunications industry responsible for distributing and selling products throughout Canada

Acted on behalf of a Canadian chartered bank in respect of the acquisition financing of an iconic 2-building hotel in Montreal’s Old Port

Acted on the behalf of a major Canadian chartered bank in respect of the land and construction financing of a Pointe-Claire property slated for a 4-phase development project, the first phase of which consisted of the construction and development of an 11-story, 245-unit residential building
