Evelyne is a Partner and leads the Real Estate Finance division of KRB’s Banking and Finance group. Prior to joining the team, she practiced at a leading national business law firm.

For over fifteen years, Evelyne has advised clients in respect of the acquisition and sale of buildings, particularly as it pertains to contract drafting and due diligence. She specializes in establishing securities primarily affecting multi-residential, commercial and industrial real estate assets, as well as managing major acquisition and sale transactions. Evelyne frequently represents chartered banks, financial institutions, virtual lenders and several notable real estate investors. She is recognized by clients and colleagues alike for her detail-oriented, collaborative approach and keen business sense.

Representative Work

  • Acted for a lender in connection with a CMHC-insured financing of $131M for the construction of 342 rental units in Gatineau.
  • Acted for a lender in connection with a $33M financing related to a share sale involving the transfer of a seniors’ residence with 103 units.
  • Acted for a lender in connection with a CMHC-insured financing of $102M for the construction of 291 rental units in Montréal.
  • Acted for a purchaser in connection with the acquisition of multiple properties in the context of an estate and horizontal co-ownership.
  • Acted for a lender in connection with a conventional financing of $60M for the completion of two phases following a foreclosure.
  • Acted for a lender in connection with a conventional financing of $37M related to the acquisition of six shopping centers.
  • Acted for a lender in connection with a conventional loan secured by an inventory of more than 100 properties held in divided co-ownership.
  • Acted for a company in connection with the negotiation of a purchase agreement for a transaction exceeding $100M.
