Tikinas Nedil

Articling Student

Tikinas Nedil is an Articling Student at KRB. She joined the team in the summer of 2022 after obtaining her civil law degree from the University of Ottawa with distinction. A former basketball and rugby player and coach, Tikinas has a good sense of leadership and teamwork. Quadrilingual with a marked passion for travel, she knows how to express her ideas and demonstrate open-mindedness. During her last academic year, she was chosen to follow Blockchain, Law and Society, a course which deepened her knowledge and increased her interest in the legal field.

As part of her academic journey, Tikinas was selected as one of three mentors in her faculty where her mandate was to facilitate the academic, social and cultural integration of students. In addition, she notably held the position of Vice-President of Communications for the Middle Eastern and North African Law Students’ Association of the University of Ottawa, and acted as a representative of the university with the student section of the Quebec branch of the Canadian Bar Association. Alongside her studies, she dedicated her time to Pro Bono Canada (EPBC) and the Outaouais Community Justice Center.

In 2021-2022, she received the “Promotion de droit civil 1966 en l’honneur de Jock-Turcot” scholarship from the University of Ottawa, highlighting her academic performance and her commitment, the social engagement student prize awarded by the Canadian Bar Association (Quebec Division) and the “Maillet Bénévolat et Pro bono” after being nominated by her peers in the Civil Law Section of uOttawa.
