Suzanne Villeneuve
Partner | Department Head, Banking & Finance
Suzanne Villeneuve is a Partner and Head of KRB’s Banking & Finance group. Her practice focuses on commercial, banking, and real-estate financing as well as corporate transactions, where she represents financial institutions and corporations in the structuring and negotiation of secured lending arrangements.
Suzanne acts on a wide range of transactions, including syndicated, acquisition, and asset-based financings, real estate and construction loans, and corporate debt restructurings, and provides seasoned guidance in the drafting and negotiation of credit agreements, security packages, intercreditor arrangements, and guarantee structures.
Before devoting her practice to financing and corporate law, Suzanne spent several years in civil and commercial litigation. Drawing on that background, together with her experience in insolvency and restructuring, she brings a practical, risk-focused perspective to every mandate, helping clients structure transactions that are commercially sound.
Suzanne brings an international outlook and a genuine appreciation for cross-cultural business environments. She is fluent in English and French and speaks Japanese.

- Represented a bank in an aircraft financing transaction valued at CDN$23,330,000 for the purchase of an aircraft, including a comprehensive review and registration of security interests.
- Represented a bank in a CDN$222,000,000 financing for the acquisition and development of a large industrial site in Quebec, including environmental assessments and complex title matters.
- Acted for a chartered bank in a CDN $128,000,000 financing for a major real estate development project in Montreal, involving complex security arrangements and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
- Represented a lender in the implementation of CDN$102,000,000 credit facilities for a major corporate reorganization and acquisition involving multiple entities and properties in Quebec and Ontario.
