Roy Cheung
Associate
Roy is an associate in KRB’s Business Law group, specializing in mergers and acquisitions. He advises a diverse clientele, including entrepreneurs, private investors, and established companies operating across sectors such as manufacturing, food and beverage, technology, professional services, and entertainment.
His expertise spans a broad range of transactions, including business acquisitions and sales, private equity investments, acquisition financings, corporate reorganizations, and divestitures, both domestically and cross-border.
Known for his pragmatic and results-oriented approach, Roy guides clients through every stage of a transaction – from structuring and due diligence to negotiation – delivering strategic, practical solutions aligned with their business objectives.

- Acted on behalf of Grisspasta Products Ltd., a group of manufacturing companies engaged in the conception, development, and production of dry pasta intended for sale to business customers, in connection with the sale of said companies to an Ontario-based strategic buyer.
- Acted on behalf of a British Columbia-based strategic buyer specializing in providing entertainment solutions and services, in connection with its acquisition and the financing of its acquisition of La Grande Roue de Montréal, an iconic observation Ferris wheel located in the Old Port of Montreal.
- Acted on behalf of Ecovadis, a global leader in business sustainability ratings for supply chains, in its acquisition of Ulula, an international company specializing in real-time feedback technology for labor and human rights conditions in supply chains.
- Acted on behalf of strategic buyer in connection with its acquisition and the financing of its acquisition of a national-leading distributor of automotive and heavy-duty parts and equipment serving the industrial and commercial vehicle sectors.
- Acted on behalf of Rustica Foods Inc., specializing in the production of authentic pizza products, in connection with a minority equity investment by the Fonds de solidarité FTQ and Exportation Development Canada, and the financing of its $65 million expansion project.
- Acted on behalf of a group of private investors in connection with the acquisition of Les Bijoutiers Doucet 1993 Inc., better known as Doucet Latendresse – an iconic chain of 32 jewelry stores across Quebec and Ontario, known for its extensive range of offerings, from timeless diamond and fine gold pieces to modern fashion jewelry and elegant timepieces.
- Advised a national-leading distributor of rehabilitation and physiotherapy products and medical supplies, on a corporate reorganization and trust freeze implemented as part of its succession and tax planning strategy.
- Advised a national-leading title insurance company on privacy and data protection matters in connection with Québec’s Law 25.
- Advised a North America–based technology company specializing in online activity and membership management solutions, on commercial and privacy matters.
