KRB Advises CAPREIT on $178M Acquisition of Newly Built Residential Community in Laval

KRB is pleased to announce its role as legal advisor to CAPREIT in connection with the acquisition and financing of a newly constructed residential rental complex located in Laval, within the Greater Montréal Area. The transaction involved a purchase price of $178 million, including the assumption of an existing $29.5 million mortgage bearing interest at 3.3% with a remaining term of approximately 7.2 years.

The property consists of 436 modern residential suites across two recently completed buildings (2020 and 2023). Strategically situated in a rapidly developing sector of Laval, the asset provides strong access to nearby commercial amenities and major transportation routes, reinforcing its long-term value within CAPREIT’s Québec portfolio.
